All Of Us Are Dead is a zombie-themed K-Drama series that has caught the attention of many fans. Lee Jae Kyoo directed the film and in an interview with The Korea Heraldhe mentioned that he intentionally left the room with a story hanging in the script for All Of Us Are Dead season 2.
“Many of the directions, settings, and scenes were intentionally produced to build the story into additional seasons, including the introduction of a new zombie race,said Lee.
“If the first season can be seen as presenting the survival of humanity, the next season can talk about zombie survival.”
This clarifies that the director must be thinking about the second season of this drama. But the director is only one part of several factors that can determine the existence of an update for All Of Us Are Dead S2. Netflix is another strong factor that we should look at as well. Will There Be an All Of Us Are Dead Season 2?
Netflix has officially renewed All Of Us Are Dead for a second season.
Netflix Korea announced the news via a video and poster for the second season on their Instagram page with the caption: “Can we survive again? The second story of the survival of the fierce zombies of Hyosan High School friends begins. #AllofUsAreDead #Netflix.”
Yoon Chan-young then shared a video on YouTube talking about the renewal of the K-drama. He says, “Hello everyone, it’s been a long time. Thank you to Netflix fans around the world for giving so much love to the first season of All of Us Are Dead.”
The announcement then continued with the rest of the cast: “How are you all? We are fine, and did you guys hear the good news? All of Us Are Dead is returning for season 2! We hope all of you are excited for it. What kind of storyline will unfold in the second season of All of Us Are Dead? Oh, I have to go, my friends are waiting for me.”
When Will All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 Release?
There is currently no release date for All Of Us Are Dead S2 nor is there any word on when filming will begin. During an interview with Teen Vogue in March 2023, Park Ji-hu stated that filming had not started yet.
With this in mind, I can personally assume that we won’t be seeing another season sometime in 2023. Early 2024 seems most likely for the release of All Of Us Are Dead season 2 itself.

Who Are the Cast in All Of Us Are Dead?
A lot of the cast of characters in the first season were killed off so it’s likely that most of them won’t be coming back. However, there are some survivors. They include among others:
- On Jo (Park Ji Hu)
- Su-hyeok (Park Solomon)
- Dae-su (Im Jae-hyuk)
- Ha-ri (Ha Seung-ri)
- Mi-jin (Lee Eun-saem), and
- Hyo-ryung (Kim Bo-yoon).
There is a possibility that Cheong-san will return, considering that Yoon Chan-young was seen in the announcement video. This would suggest that he played a part in some way. If you remember, Cheong-san made a heroic sacrifice in the first season, but is he still alive? Well, we’ll have to wait and see when season 2 airs out.
What’s the Storyline of All Of Us Are Dead Season 2?
Will there be more zombies? Of course. At the end of the first season, Nam-ra reveals that there are more zombie-human hybrids like her on the loose. This reveal could be the perfect storyline for the next season.
The military clearly wants to experiment on zombie-human hybrids and season two might see Nam-ra and her other zombie-human hybrid friends try to escape from the military.
Netflix hasn’t revealed the storyline of season two yet, but one thing I can be sure of is that there will be zombies, and there will be plenty of them. This is an article I keep an eye on and I will update this article as new information comes out.
